Chefs Thomas Zimmermann and Emeric Richard launch the fourth edition of their culinary festival entirely devoted to Lyon Street Food Festival, from the 12 to 15 September 2019.
Over three days, street food lovers will be able to discover many stands, foodtrucks and a gourmet bookstore within the city as well as some chef stars, like Mauro Colagreco.
This year will also feature the flavours of cities from four different corners of the world, Kobe, Madrid, Hong Kong and Finland.
Mauoro Colagreco is Guest Star
For its fourth installment, the Lyon Street Food Festival welcomes Mauro Colagreco, three Michelin stars for his Menton restaurant Mirazur , recently named “Best Restaurant in the World” by the World’s 50 Best. “The chef will cook octopus on Saturday, September 14. With the same brief as the other 79 invited chefs: to concoct street food for 4/5 euros max”, details the Lyon Capitale newspaper.
Other kitchen stars featuring include Romain Meder (Plaza Athenee ***, Paris), Mathieu Viannay (La Mère Brazier **, Lyon) and Serge Vieira, current president of the Bocuse d ‘France Team. Gold.
However, the organizers of the festival do not want to make it an “elitist culinary event, like some who organize off, in very intimate places and reserved for a few happy few. Our desire is to remain an event accessible to all.”
